Sweetie Pie is a gentle and loving, 35 lb girl with such a beautiful personality. She loves to be loved and shows her appreciation with kisses and lots and lots of tail wags.

Sweetie Pie quickly wins hearts with her friendly demeanor and bright, curious personality. While she may be shy upon her first arrival, after acclimating into a new home, she is friendly with everyone and very welcoming of new people! She loves taking walks and being pet by everyone she meets. If you stop petting her, she will gently nudge your hand or paw you for more affection. She is just the cutest!

Sweetie Pie would thrive in a slow-paced or relatively calm home. One of Sweetie Pies' amazing qualities is her adoration of dogs. She would love to have a canine companion! Sweetie Pie has been fostered with a variety of dogs- from 5 lb Chihuahuas up to 65 lb German Shepherds. She loves them all and quickly bonds to other dogs! A once shy dog, Sweetie Pie really thrives when she has another dog to look to for guidance. In a pack, this girl is confident and outgoing!

Sweetie Pie loves play time and when her furry friends no longer want to play, she is just fine throwing a toy up in the air by herself! She is a silly girl that enjoys the simple things in life- furry friends to run around with, a comfy couch to cuddle on, and people to love and be loved by.

Dreaming of Furever Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue that adopts cats and dogs from South Texas to the Pacific Northwest, Colorado, and the East Coast. The adoption process consists of an application, reference checks, phone interview, and video chat with the pet and foster parent!

The adoption fee of $600 includes spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, DHPP and booster, and Bordatella), microchip with free lifetime registration, deworming, transport, heartworm test, heartworm & flea prevention during the pet's time in our program as well as 2 free months of heartworm and flea prevention to be sent in their adoption packet!

We are volunteers with a passion to reduce the stray population and unnecessary euthanasia in South Texas. According to Shelter Animals Count, an almost 100,000 cats and dogs were euthanized in Texas shelters in 2024. By transporting our adoptable pets to areas with fewer unwanted pets, they have a better chance of quickly finding loving homes, while also freeing up space in Texas shelters and giving more local animals a chance at life.
