Elsie - Mastiff and Bullmastiff Dog for Adoption in South Houston, Texas

Elsie is a beautiful 4 year old Mastiff mix weighing 87 pounds, with a heart as big as her paws. Calm, affectionate, and full of happy wiggles, this sweet girl loves being close to her people and sharing gentle kisses.

Elsie enjoys the simple things: a leisurely neighborhood walk, a cozy dog bed, and a good roll in the grass. She is a wonderful companion for someone looking for a relaxed, loving dog to share everyday life with.

She is house trained, crate trained, and has excellent manners in her current home. She goes potty outside and hasn’t been destructive or chewed on household items. When her family is home, she enjoys roaming freely before settling down for a nap on her favorite bed.

Elsie gets along well with other dogs and walks beautifully on a leash. She has not been introduced to cats, so her compatibility with them is unknown.

With her soulful eyes, sweet kisses, and easygoing personality, Elsie has so much love to offer. She is looking for a family who will welcome her into their daily lives and give her plenty of affection, comfortable naps, and time together.

If your idea of the perfect companion is a big, lovable girl who enjoys walks as much as relaxing by your side, Elsie may be your match!

Elsie was heartworm positive when she was rescued from the euthanasia list at the city shelter due to space but she has been treated and she is ready to travel to her forever home.
