Meet Amigo!
An 89lb, 2-year-old, Mastiff mix who is looking for a fresh start after being surrendered to the shelter through no fault of his own. While this transition has been a big change for him, he's ready to find a family that will give him the love and guidance he deserves.
According to his previous owner, Amigo is a social dog who gets along great with other dogs both at home and out in public. He especially enjoys playing, running, and making new canine friends. He also did well with small children in and outside the home, making him a wonderful candidate for a family looking for a playful companion.
When meeting new people, Amigo can be a little shy at first, but it doesn't take long for his affectionate personality to shine through once he feels comfortable.
Amigo has never been around cats, so his compatibility with feline friends is unknown. He is also not yet house-trained or crate-trained, so he'll need a patient adopter who is willing to help him learn these important skills. With consistency, positive reinforcement, and plenty of encouragement, Amigo has every opportunity to thrive.
