DESCRIPTION
Angel is a sweet 7-year-old Maltese who is looking for a patient, loving home where she can feel safe and continue building her confidence.
Angel does well with other dogs and would be happiest in a home with another friendly, confident dog to keep her company and help her feel more comfortable. She is still learning to trust people, so she'll need someone who understands that trust takes time and is willing to let her come out of her shell at her own pace.
Angel also requires a securely fenced yard where she can safely explore and enjoy time outdoors while she continues building confidence.
With patience, consistency, and plenty of positive experiences, Angel has the potential to become a wonderful and loving companion. She is looking for someone who will give her the time she needs to feel safe and allow her sweet personality to shine.
A required in-person meet and greet at our shelter is part of the adoption process to help ensure a good fit for Angel, any resident dogs, and her potential adopters.
If you have the patience and love to help Angel continue coming out of her shell, she may be the sweet companion you've been waiting for!
------
Many NMDR dogs have had limited prior socialization and may need time, patience, and support as they adjust to home life. Skills such as house training, leash walking, and handling may require continued practice. Progress will vary by individual dog. Homes with older children are often a good fit, depending on temperament. To learn more about NMDR and our adoption process, please visit our website.
