Meet Edie, an adorable 11–12-year-old Maltese mix who weighs just 9 pounds — and if you ask her foster, Edie has exactly one thing on her agenda:
Being on your lap.

Edie is quite possibly one of the sweetest, gentlest, most loving little dogs you could ever meet. Her foster actually had a hard time getting pictures of her because Edie wasn’t particularly interested in posing for the camera. She would much rather be curled up on her foster’s lap, soaking up all the love and affection she can get.

And honestly... can you blame her?

Edie has been well loved and cared for, is in good health, and is fully vetted and ready for her forever home. She is dog-friendly, cat-friendly, and just plain friendly! Her foster has cats who are actually bigger than she is, and everyone is doing wonderfully together.

She’s a tiny little girl with an enormous capacity for love.

Her adoption fee is completely waived because of her age and circumstances.

We know many people are searching for a small dog, and we also know that there simply aren’t as many little dogs in rescue as there are larger dogs. But we also know that sometimes people see the word “senior” and hesitate.
