Hula is your girl! Can’t find her? Look down, she’s probably right there at your feet. Either weaving between your feet, or sitting there staring up at you adoringly with her big brown eyes, or standing on her hind legs trying to get your attention with a dance.

This sweetheart is about 2 years old and already had at least one litter of pups. She was found running in the street, and when a neighbor brought her home, the owner didn’t want her back. So she’s on to bigger better things and looking for a responsible home where she’s actually wanted. She’s said to be a maltipoo, is about 10lbs and seems to have a nonshedding coat that needs to be groomed regularly. She’s ok with most dogs but definitely more of a people person. She doesn’t believe in crates and even used her long spider legs to open the door to let herself out of one somehow. She was used to wee wee pads previously but will go outside if taken out as well. But expect some accidents especially if left alone. She prefers a home with someone home more often than not, and definitely wants to sleep in bed and climb on your couches so if you don’t like dogs on the furniture and right in your face she’s not for you.

Since COVID-19, we are no longer holding our Sunday adoption events until further notice, but we are scheduling meet and greet appointments with a specific dog or dogs at our meeting spots in Northern NJ. Please check your email regularly for next steps. All our dogs reside in foster care in Northern NJ until adoption and we do not have a central shelter location. We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.

Renowned for their hypoallergenic qualities and keen sense of humor, Poodles excel in various dog sports and activities, making them versatile companions suitable for different lifestyles and living situations.
