Meet Peanut

5 years old, 15 lbs, Maltese/Terrier Mix

If you had met Peanut a few months ago, you probably wouldnt recognize him today.

He wasnt sure people could be trusted. Now, hes the first one asking for belly rubs.

Peanut loves hanging out with his people, going for walks, curling up on the couch, and following you around just to see what youre doing. He knows sit and shake, loves being told hes a good boy, and has done well with cats.

Peanut can be a little unsure around new dogs at first, so hed do best with slow introductions and a little patience. Once he settles in, he has the potential to do well, but hed be happiest in a home where life is a little quieter.

One thing to know: Peanut has a curious streak and can wander if given the chance, so hell need a secure yard and should always stay on a leash when hes outside.

Watching Peanut come out of his shell has been pretty incredible. Hes gone from a dog who kept everyone at arms length to one whos happiest being close to the people he loves.
