**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.
Bella is a 9lb., 10-month-old Morkipoo (probably Maltese — Yorkshire Terrier — Toy Poodle) puppy up-for-adoption with Homeward Bound Dog Rescue of New York. Her young owners were super well-meaning but worked LONG hours and couldn’t take care of a puppy. She is really good with other dogs, crate-trained, and super friendly. Bella has not really had any formal training so the new owners should be prepared to start from scratch. Bella LOVES zooming around her fenced yard in her foster home so priority will go to a home with a fence and plenty of time for a young dog. She should not go to a home with the elderly as she’s fast and could potentially be a trip-hazard. Bella doesn’t shed BUT will need professional grooming every 6-8 weeks so the new owners should be prepared for that added expense.
Get those apps in ASAP—she won’t last long!

Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
