Meet Ethel! A Gentle Survivor Ready for Her Peaceful Forever Home
Age: ~5.5 years
Weight: 60 lbs
Sex: Female (spayed)
Personality & Story:
Ethel was found in a dump site while pregnant, severely neglected, and covered in ticks and fleas. Despite her rough start, she remained gentle and calm throughout her rescue and recovery. During her medical care, she was also diagnosed as heartworm positive and successfully treated with a fast-kill protocol. Ethel has shown incredible resilience and is now healthy, stable, and ready to find a loving forever home where she can finally rest and be cared for.
Temperament:
Ethel is extremely relaxed, sweet, and low-key. She enjoys calm environments and steady companionship. While she has lived with both cats and dogs, she does best with slow introductions to new animals. She can become mildly annoyed with younger, high-energy pups and would prefer respectful, calmer companions.
Energy Level:
Low. Ethel is an older, easygoing dog who spends most of her time resting or moving at a slow, gentle pace. She enjoys quiet walks and lounging comfortably nearby her people.
Good With:
Dogs: Yes — tested, good with other dogs (slow introductions recommended)

Ethel is well-mannered indoors and comfortable with routine. She is an easy companion in the home and prefers a peaceful, predictable lifestyle.
What Ethel Needs in a Forever Home:
Ethel is looking for a calm, patient home where she can finally enjoy comfort and stability after a very difficult past. She would thrive in a quieter environment with respectful animals or as a companion to a relaxed household. She is not high-maintenance—just in need of love, softness, and security.
