About Me:
The name’s Bernie—and yes, I know I’m adorable.
I’m 4 months old, 15 pounds, and currently sporting the long-legged, floppy-eared look like it was made just for me. I’m a Lab/Boxer/Cur mix, which is really just a fancy way of saying your guess is as good as mine when it comes to exactly what I’ll look like all grown up!
For now, I’m busy doing puppy things: taking in the world, figuring out what’s expected of me, and becoming more “Bernie” every day. I have a whole lifetime ahead of me, and I’d much rather spend it growing up with my family than waiting for them to find me.
So, what do you say? I bring the cute face and ridiculously long legs. You bring the forever home.
Best Qualities:
Naturally adorable: Some dogs have to work the camera. I simply show up.
A little mystery: Lab? Boxer? Cur? All of the above? I’m basically the rescue-dog version of a surprise package—and you get to watch the final reveal.
Just getting started: First walks, favorite toys, ridiculous sleeping positions, discovering treats, learning the rules—I still have so many “firsts” waiting to happen.
Perfect sidekick potential: I’m looking for more than a place to live. I want people to grow up with and a life where I’m right in the middle of things.
Ideal Match:
Someone who looks at a 4-month-old puppy and sees the fun in everything that’s still to come. You don’t need to have all the answers, but you do need the time and commitment to teach me the basics, keep me busy, and stick with me through the occasional puppy shenanigan. Bonus points if you’re excited to find out just how big these legs plan on getting.
Deal Breakers:
• You require personal space at all times. I have a feeling we’re going to be friends, and friends tend to hang out.
• You’re not prepared for a little puppy chaos mixed in with all this cuteness.
• You need to know exactly how big I’ll be as an adult. Bernie’s final form is still under construction.
Fun Fact:
I haven’t quite grown into my legs yet...but I’m more than ready to grow into your heart.
