Gemma is a beautiful Labrador Retriever mix with a stunning black coat and an even more beautiful personality to match! This sweet girl is always ready to make a new friend, whether they have two legs or four. Friendly, affectionate, and eager to please, Gemma loves being part of the action and spending time with her favorite people.

One of Gemma's favorite things is heading out on sniffy walks where she can take in all the exciting sights and smells around her. She also enjoys tossing around squeaky toys and, at the end of the day, curling up in bed for cozy nighttime cuddles. She's housetrained, incredibly smart, and very food-motivated, which means she picks up on positive reinforcement training quickly.

Gemma is currently navigating some mystery discomfort in her back end, so she's looking for a loving family that can help her maintain a low-impact lifestyle so she can continue feeling her best. She does wonderfully with leashed walks, rug-covered floors for good traction, and a home without stairs.

All of our dogs and puppies go home spayed or neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested (for dogs 7 months and older). They are also up to date on core vaccines, as well as heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Each adoption includes a 3.5-pound bag of dog or puppy food and a free vet exam at one of our participating veterinary partners.
