Introducing Rocky, a friendly and social guy who absolutely loves people. He stays close, happily seeks out attention, and truly enjoys companionship.
Rocky has a soft, affectionate demeanor with medium-level energy. He would thrive in a home that can give him attention and structure. He enjoys having a routine, and responds very well to to positive, reward-based training. He loves going for walks and is a good walker! Rocky would do best in a home without young children, but older kids who are comfortable with a larger dog could be a great match.
Now, for the sad but unfortunately true news. Rocky has terminal bladder cancer. It is predicted by his veterinarians that he has 3-6 months left to live. We are hoping that he will beat these odds and have more time, but we also understand the reality that our time with him is limited. Our focus is on giving him the best possible quality of life for however long he has left.
Rocky is also incontinent and wears a belly band to help manage accidents and keep him comfortable. While the type of cancer Rocky has is incurable, we hope there is someone who can see beyond his diagnosis and provide him with a loving home where he can spend his last few months. We are looking for someone who can surround sweet Rocky with comfort, kindness, and love.
Adopting a dog with a terminal illness is an extraordinary act of compassion, and for Rocky, it would mean having a family to call his own during the time he has left. Please fill out and submit an adoption application for Rocky today.
