Mavis - Labrador Retriever Dog for Adoption in Prince Frederick, Maryland

TOP! Don't adopt Mavis just because she's a Lab!

Adopt her because she's the right fit for your family, your lifestyle, and the home you can offer her!

Meet Mavis, a 2-year-old Labrador who is looking for a fresh start and someone willing to love her for exactly who she is!

Mavis is a sweet, sensitive girl who believes the best things in life don't have to involve big crowds, busy events, or being the center of attention. While some dogs dream of going everywhere with their people, Mavis would much rather enjoy the comforts of home, a familiar routine, and the company of people she trusts. She's more of a cozy nights in than a social butterfly kind of girl!

After spending her whole life in one home, Mavis is navigating some pretty big changes. She's hoping to find someone who understands that building trust takes time and that the best relationships aren't rushed. Give this girl a little patience, some consistency, and room to settle in, and you'll be giving her exactly what she needs to start her next chapter.

Mavis is reportedly housebroken and crate trained! She's also got a bit of a wildlife-watching hobby, although her version involves chasing the wildlife, so a feline-free home would be best! As for canine roommates, she's still figuring out how she feels about other dogs, so slow, thoughtful introductions are important.

Mavis could potentially share a home with children who are calm, respectful, and understand that sometimes a girl just needs her personal space.

Mavis isn't looking for the busiest house, the biggest adventures, or a packed social calendar. She's looking for HER people. The ones who will appreciate her quieter personality, celebrate her little victories, and let her blossom at her own pace.

Don't choose Mavis because she's a Labrador. Choose Mavis because you're ready to give THIS Labrador the life she deserves.
