Shyne - Labrador Retriever Dog for Adoption in Oshawa, Ontario

Shyne is a 7-year-old purebred Labrador Retriever with beautiful and unique colouring — half yellow Lab and half Red Fox Lab. He is truly one of the sweetest, most loving dogs you could ever meet.

Shyne grew up in a home full of children, so he absolutely loves kids and loves people. He is happiest when he is surrounded by people who will give him plenty of love, attention, cuddles and, of course, belly rubs! He would thrive in a home where he can be part of the family and receive lots of affection.

He also does very well with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends. He does not do well with cats, so a cat-free home would be best for him.

Shyne is wonderfully well behaved in the home. He is fully house trained, does not chew, and is not a barker. He is also completely crate trained and actually loves sleeping in his crate. His crate door is simply left open, and he happily goes in there when he wants to relax.

On walks, Shyne does tend to pull, so a harness is recommended to make walks more comfortable and manageable.

Shyne does have a large benign fatty tumour on his neck that has been examined by his veterinarian and is considered to be of no concern. It does not bother him or affect his quality of life. He is also prone to ear infections, so he needs regular ear cleaning to help keep his ears healthy.

Most importantly, Shyne is an incredibly sweet, affectionate and loving dog. He has so much love to give and would make a wonderful companion for a family with children or for someone looking for a loyal best friend.

He doesn’t need anything fancy — he just wants to be loved, included and close to his people.
