Lil Bit - Labrador Retriever and Weimaraner Dog for Adoption in New Orleans, Louisiana

Hi there! I'm Lil Bit - though my foster family lovingly calls me "Goose" - and I'm a sweet, gentle boy who's discovering just how wonderful life can be.
I was born at the end of April 2025 and weigh about 35 pounds, but everyone says my heart is the biggest part of me. They also call me "handsome." Just look at this striking silvery-gray coat with my little touches of white - I'm starting to believe them!
Since coming into my foster home, my world has completely opened up. Every day, I'm growing more confident, more playful, and more full of joy. I've learned that kind voices, cozy spaces, and loving people are pretty amazing things. Having other dogs around has been the best - they're helping show me the ropes, and I'm picking it all up quickly!
One of my favorite things? Zoomies! When I get excited, I take off across the yard like a flash - my foster family says I'm "faster than lightning," and honestly, I think they might be right. I also have the best full-body wiggles when I'm happy... which is happening more and more every day!
I'm incredibly gentle, loving, and sweet. Once I know you, I'm all in - loyal, affectionate, and ready to be your shadow. Cats make me a little unsure, but I'm polite and respectful (a slow introduction is perfect for me). However, because I am easily spooked and frightened, I do not want to be with children.

I'm the kind of dog who truly blossoms with love, routine, and encouragement - and I'm already blooming beautifully. I'm fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and neutered, so I'm all set to start my next chapter.
If you're looking for a kind-hearted, loyal companion with a playful streak and the sweetest soul, I might just be your Lil Bit.
