Meet Mama!

Mama is a young mixed-breed girl estimated to be 1–11⁄2 years old, about 33 pounds, whose story is nothing short of remarkable. Before she was rescued, she somehow managed to survive in rural Georgia while raising two little healthy, happy puppies completely on her own. Despite the challenges she faced, she never lost her gentle spirit or her love for people. She proved to be an incredible first-time mom, protecting and guiding her babies through their first few weeks of life while making sure they grew into the playful, confident puppies they are today.

Now it's finally Mama's turn to be cared for.

She is so wonderfully sweet, affectionate, and people-oriented. If you sit down, she'll happily curl up beside you for cuddles, and if you offer a tummy rub, you've officially become her new best friend. She has a calm, docile personality that makes everyone who meets her fall in love.

Mama is also very smart and quick to pick up new tricks. Although she's only been living with people for a few weeks, she's already potty trained, crate trained, and has learned commands like sit, lay down, and crate. She's still figuring out that "Mama" is now her name, but she's eager to learn and loves making her people happy.

Food is definitely one of her favorite things, but she's wonderfully polite about it. She takes treats gently from your hand and has shown no food or toy guarding—you can easily remove her bowl or a chew toy without any fuss.

She gets along beautifully with other dogs, has a gentle, easygoing temperament, and would thrive in almost any loving home. Whether you're a first-time dog owner or have had dogs your whole life, Mama has all the qualities people hope for: she's affectionate, intelligent, loyal, adaptable, and grateful for every bit of love she receives.

Mama has spent the first chapter of her life taking care of everyone else. Now she's looking for a family who will let her be the one who's protected, spoiled, and loved.
