Meet Shadow!!

Shadow should have spent the first year of his life learning how to be a puppy.

Instead, he was left to fend for himself in the dumping grounds of Cleveland, Texas.

He's estimated to be just 11 months old, but theres something about Shadow that feels much older. He's calm, gentle, and observant an old soul wrapped up in a young Black Lab mix. At only 47lbs he's the perfect medium sized boy.

Since coming into rescue, Shadow has been soaking up everything a puppy should have had all along. A warm bed. Full meals. Toys that are his to keep. The comfort of knowing someone is coming home for him.

Now, all he needs is a family to help him keep growing.

Like any young dog, Shadow will benefit from continued training, guidance, and plenty of positive experiences as he learns how wonderful life can be. He's already kennel trained, potty trained, loves other dogs, and is always happy to spend time with his favorite toys. And if were being honest, his adorable speckled tongue might just be one of the cutest things we've ever seen.

More than anything, Shadow is ready for the one thing he's been missing all along a family to call his own.

Because every puppy deserves the chance to grow up knowing theyre loved.

Shadow is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas, but he is available for adoption and transport to many areas across the country. His adoption fee is $600 and includes transport. If you're seeing this post, we have a transport stop near you.
