Johnnie - Labrador Retriever Dog for Adoption in Horn Lake, Mississippi

Meet Johnnie: Johnnie is about a 4 year old (as of August 2026) black lab mix (best guess) that weighs about 60 pounds. Johnnie was found as a stray and taken to a high kill shelter in Memphis, TN. This is another instance where we made it just in time and were able to find one more spot available to pull him from the shelter and save his sweet life! Johnnie is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Johnnie is a very sweet and friendly boy! Johnnie is very affectionate and has done well with other dogs and people. Johnnie is your typical, happy, goofy, lab boy! He loves to run and play. We think Johnnie will make a great family dog. Johnnie is house trained and crate trained and walks well on a leash. We would love for Johnnie to have a home with a fenced in yard so he can run and play and zoom freely. Johnnie is up to date on his shots and will be neutered as of 8/21/26. Johnnie tested heartworm positive but has already begun treatments and is on track to being good as new!
