Tilly - Labrador Retriever Dog for Adoption in Duxbury, Massachusetts

Tilly isn't the type of dog we typically pull into our rescue. We tend to focus on Belgian Malinois and German Shepherds, and Tilly is a Lab mix. But sometimes a dog's story is simply too heartbreaking to ignore.

When Tilly was just a puppy, she found herself in a shelter kennel alongside her mom and dad. Sadly, both of her parents were euthanized, leaving Tilly behind, alone in the very kennel they had shared.

We can't imagine how confusing and frightening that must have been for such a young dog. One day, she had her family. The next, she was completely alone.

We knew we couldn't leave her there.

And we're so glad we didn't!

Since coming into our care, Tilly has absolutely blossomed. The scared little puppy who lost everything has grown into a happy, affectionate, incredibly social girl who seems to love everyone she meets.

We couldn't change what happened to her parents, but we could make sure Tilly got a different ending.
