Meet this beautiful boy named Palomo. He is a 2-year-old Labrador Retriever who has been in the shelter since 6/1/2026 and is urgently seeking a loving foster or adoptive home. Hes a classic Lab—highly social with people, eager to please, and always ready for playtime. Palomo is potty trained (BONUS), crate trained, and especially food motivated, making him a joy to train and easy to integrate into your daily routine. He loves toys and will happily entertain himself or join in a game of fetch. Palomo does best as the only dog in the home, but hes wonderful with children ages 6-10, making him a great companion for families. After his extended stay, Palomo is ready to thrive in a home where he can get the attention and affection he deserves.
A Volunteer Perspective - Trail time with Palomo:
Palomo is a gentle, timid pup who is still learning that the world can be a safe and wonderful place. Despite his initial shyness, his tail never quits wagging! On our trail walk, I let him take the lead, and it was so rewarding to watch him curiously explore his surroundings. He is gaining confidence every single day, and he is going to make an incredibly loyal companion for someone patient enough to watch him blossom!
