RED WING BLACK BIRD - Labrador Retriever and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Chester, South Carolina

Meet Red Wing Black Bird

Yes, we were apparently on a bird-naming kick when Red Wing Black Bird came through our doors. And while his name may be a little unusual, this handsome chocolate Lab mix is anything but!

Red Wing Black Bird somehow ended up at a stranger's home, and unfortunately, we have no idea how he got there or where he came from. What we do know is that he is an incredibly gentle, sweet boy with a beautiful spirit.

He loves attention, enjoys being around people, and has that fantastic Lab personality we all know and love. He's outgoing, affectionate, and always happy to have someone giving him a little love.

Red Wing Black Bird is the kind of dog who makes you wonder how anyone could have ever let him wander away. He's ready to leave the mystery of his past behind and start the next chapter of his life with someone who will make sure he always knows where he belongs.

Will you be the lucky one to take this handsome boy home?

Come meet Red Wing Black Bird at CCAC. He may have an unusual name, but we're pretty sure you'll find there's nothing unusual about how easy he is to love.

The Labrador Retriever is a popular and versatile dog breed known for its friendly demeanor and high intelligence. These dogs are often used as guide dogs for the visually impaired, search and rescue dogs, and excellent family pets. Labradors are known for their great sense of smell, strong build, and love of water, making them exceptional hunters and swimmers. With their loyal and loving nature, Labradors have rightfully earned their reputation as one of the most beloved dog breeds in the world.

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
