Winky Needs a Foster or Adopter to Secure His Ride to Wisconsin

Winky is currently in a Georgia kill shelter and needs a FOSTER or ADOPTER to secure his spot on the transport to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on Saturday, October 3rd.

A committed home is required for him to make the trip, and we’re hopeful the right person is out there.

Meet Winky

Winky is a 4-month-old Lab mix who is a wonderful little puppy with a surprisingly calm and gentle personality. Winky came into the shelter as a supposed stray after reportedly staying at someone’s home for a few weeks.

Winky is your typical playful, happy puppy, but he is also very low-key for his age. He isn’t obnoxious, doesn’t bark a lot, and is not overly messy in his kennel. He already knows how to sit and is incredibly gentle when taking treats, which is pretty impressive for a puppy!

Winky is sweet, playful, and enjoys being around other dogs. He is still a puppy and will need all the usual puppy training, supervision, and patience, but he is already showing that he has a great foundation to build on.

At only 17 pounds right now, Winky is a small, compact puppy and should be a fun size for an active family. His history with cats is unknown, but he is good with kids and other dogs.

Age: 4 months
Gender: Male (neutered)
Weight: 17 lbs
Breed: Lab mix (best guess)
Spayed/Neutered: Yes
Potty Trained: Not yet
Crate Trained: Unsure
Leash Manners: Working on it
Good with Dogs: Yes
Good with Cats: Unsure
Good with Kids: Yes

Winky is ready to keep moving forward and would love a foster or adoptive home to help make that happen. If you’re able to foster or adopt Winky, please apply today.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds.
