Meet Felicia!

Felicia is a gorgeous black lab/shepherd mix girl who's now in search of her new family! We're excited to welcome our newest crew of adorable rescue dogs to Oregon. These lucky pups have made their way to the Pacific Northwest and are settling into their temporary foster homes throughout the greater Portland area as they begin the next chapter of their journeys.

This lifesaving trip was made possible through an amazing partnership with our friends and rescue partners in Mexico, whose dedicated team operates their rescue near beautiful Lake Chapala, just outside Guadalajara. We're so grateful for the people on both sides of the border who work tirelessly to give these deserving dogs a chance at the happy, loving lives they deserve. Now that they're here, we'll continue getting to know each pup, learning about their personalities, and updating their profiles with more photos and information as they settle in. Rescue notes:
Lucky and happy - that's our Felicia! At least, that's the way she told us she feels, and her name confirms it. This lovely Lab-Shepherd mix has a dark mohawk-type strip down her back and sparkly silver highlights on her haunches and behind her ears. Such a unique beauty, with her glossy, silky, luxurious coat! Felicia has beautiful brown eyes and whimsically silly ears that only serve to make her more endearing. She is truly an investigator - nose to the ground on walks! Like all young dogs, she could use some leash manners work, but most of her non-manners are quite minor, and simply from the excitement at being out and about! Away from the chaos of the dog-populated kennels, she relaxes and especially loves to interact with humans. True to her DNA, Felicia is very smart, and discovered that planting her silver and black booty on the ground would result in a tasty treat! One of our volunteers reports that she is a very quick learner, keen to obey and do the right thing, so she will surely excel in any obedience training. Felicia is extremely affectionate and loving toward people, and will sit with the upper half of her happy self on your lap for pats and kisses... she really aspires to be a lap dog, and we don't want to crush her dreams!
