Rose is a beautiful mixed-breed girl, estimated to be around 11-12 months old and weighing approximately 55-60 pounds. Believed to be a blend of Labrador Retriever, Shar Pei, Mastiff, and pit-type breeds, she combines the best qualities of each: affectionate, devoted, intelligent, and eager to be part of a family.

Rose's journey began when she was found abandoned in Borger, Texas. Despite her difficult start, she has never stopped loving people. In fact, that's what makes her so special. Rose is the kind of dog who forms deep bonds with her humans and wants nothing more than to be included in everyday life. Whether you're relaxing on the couch, taking a walk around the neighborhood, or spending time in the yard, Rose is happiest right by your side.

She has a moderate energy level and enjoys a healthy balance of playtime and relaxation. Rose loves toys, enjoys spending time outdoors, and appreciates a good nap after her adventures. She is house trained, crate trained, and leash trained, making her an easy addition to a home that is ready for a loving companion.

Rose gets along well with other dogs and has done well around children. Due to her size, a home with older children may be the best fit. She is food-motivated, eager to learn, and enjoys positive reinforcement training. Rose is not known to be a frequent barker and generally has a calm, easygoing nature.

Like all dogs, Rose will need time to adjust to a new environment, but she has already shown that she is capable of thriving when given structure, patience, and love. She is looking for a family that views dogs as members of the household and is committed to providing her with the care, companionship, and stability she deserves.

The Shar Pei is a distinctive breed known for their deep wrinkles and blue black tongue. Originally from China, these medium sized dogs are loyal, independent, and protective of their families. Shar Peis have a unique appearance with a hippopotamus like face and a broad, padded muzzle. Their coat can be either horse coat or brush coat, coming in a variety of colors. While they can be aloof with strangers, Shar Peis are devoted companions with a calm demeanor, making them wonderful family pets.
