Colorado bio, "Venus is a really sweet dog! It took her some time to settle in, as she has obviously been through a lot. She held her pee in until about 9pm the night she came home! She's also slept, but she seems to never be fully asleep, she's pretty on alert about everything.

She's been good with our cat, with some strong corrections the first couple of days. She isn't predatory, but she definitely might play a little rough if people aren't keeping an eye out.

I'd say she wants to be a lap dog, she's super affectionate and loving. She's also a little skittish, it seems like she's been abused based on how she becomes “flinchy” if you reach to pet her and she doesn't expect it.

She's great with other dogs, my 6yr old nieces, and the cat 98% of the time! We are working on potty training, and she would benefit from a strong human leader. She's pretty stubborn about doing what she wants at times. It's tough because she so cute and seemingly fragile (we are trying to add some meat to her bones), but just doesn't respond to “no” when she wants something.

Also, I've never seen a dog that isn't motivated by treats, but wants DESPERATELY to eat whatever you're eating! She's just a cute little ball of conflicting things!"

Texas bio, "Describing Venus in 3 words: gentle, quiet, & loving. This sweet girl is a little slow to show her personality, but once she opens up, she is a lover! She is also crate trained once she gets to know her new space and schedule. She goes quietly in her crate and sleeps through the night. I have not heard her bark yet! Venus knows "sit" and is a very fast learner. She walks on a leash but is unsure of busy streets. With a loving, patient home she will gain her confidence and be an amazing companion. She is dog friendly (I have not seen her with cats) and I think she would be happy in a home with another dog."
