My name is Toby and I am so excited that you swiped right, I mean, clicked on my picture! I am the goodest boy you will find, but let me tell you a little about myself so that you can agree!

I am on a weekend sleepover with some friends who live in an apartment. You might be worried about a dog in an apartment, but you don't have to worry with me! I think it is pretty neat to hop up stairs but also think that elevators are the coolest, especially if you give me a treat (or two... or three...). I am very curious about other dogs and humans, but I don't engage much with them as they walk by. If you call my name or whistle as they start to approach and give me a treat (or two... or three...) I focus just on you. I would love for you to keep giving me the confidence that I need through training as I learn more about Colorado. I also am an excellent walker and really like to walk right by your side to keep you company. I told you I was the goodest boy already, right?

Inside the house, I am just as great. I would love a house where I could be your constant companion. You love hikes? Me too! You love sitting in the sun? Me too! You love snuggling all day? ME TOO! I even sat out of my kennel while my weekend mom cooked dinner, and guess what? I just laid on a rug across the kitchen! Who needs to beg? Not this boy!

I am trying my hardest to feel safe in a kennel right now. Hour by hour, I am getting better and better. It scares me a little when I can't see you and I am in my kennel. I just want to know that you are okay and when I can't see you it makes me a little nervous. I promise I am working so hard on feeling comfortable, though. I sleep through the night in my kennel and don't even mind when my weekend dog sister sleeps next to me outside of my kennel. To be honest, my weekend dog sister doesn't bother me at all. In fact, after a few more days, I might even start showing my weekend mom that I love having pup siblings!

My weekend mom thinks I might have been a family dog before I ended up in a shelter because I am fully potty trained, have great manners, and am very flexible to just hang out with you until you choose to engage with me. I am really hoping that you decide to come and meet me soon because I am meant to live alongside you! In the meantime, I will keep dreaming up our future life together and I will save a big hug and the best cuddles for you when you decide to come see me!
