DESCRIPTION

Meet Sherman — born 2/27/26 💙

Hi, I’m Sherman! I’m an 11-week-old, 13-pound bundle of love looking for my forever family. I’ve only been in my foster home for a week, but everyone here already adores me — and honestly, I adore them too!

I’m a super friendly, lovable puppy who loves meeting new people. All the neighborhood kids come by to see me, and I think it’s the best thing ever. I’m always ready for attention, cuddles, and playtime.

I’m also doing really well with learning the ropes of being a good boy. I’ve already mastered sleeping in my crate all night without any accidents! My foster family says I’m very smart and eager to learn.

When it comes to fun, I’m happy with just about anything — throw me a ball, hand me a squeaky toy, or give me a Benebone and I’m entertained for hours. My absolute favorite game is tug-of-war with my 85-pound friend Penny. I haven’t beaten her yet… but I’m pretty sure my winning day is coming soon!

After all my adventures and playtime, I turn into a total cuddle bug. My favorite place to relax is curled up on the couch snoozing next to my foster family.

Sherman is the perfect mix of playful, affectionate, and easygoing. He’s ready to bring laughter, companionship, and lots of puppy kisses to a lucky forever home. Give this sweet boy a chance and you definitely won’t be disappointed.

SPAY/NEUTER POLICY: Our adoption fee covers the puppies spay or neuter at our vet in Libertyville. If the puppy is adopted prior to the spay or neuter being done you will be required to bring the puppy back to our vet within 30 days for the surgery.

ADOPTION FEE: $500.00 The adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, HW test if age appropriate, de-worming, microchip, fecal, spay or neuter, Heartworm and flea and tick preventative.

ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org.
Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possibly. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed. The best way to contact us is by email at placingpaws@yahoo.com. It is very difficult for the limited numbers of volunteers to return all calls. Thank you.
