Roman is a 1-year-old Retriever/Greyhound mix weighing about 45 lbs, and he’s truly a survivor with a heart full of love.

Roman’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. He was found in Southwest City with serious injuries and was given a second chance at life thanks to a compassionate rescuer who refused to walk away. From there, he was taken in, received urgent veterinary care, and began his road to recovery. We are deeply grateful to the original rescuer and his incredible foster family who helped him heal, rebuild trust, and discover what safety and love feel like again.

Despite everything he’s been through, Roman has shown nothing but resilience and forgiveness. He is now fully recovered, thriving, and settling in with Wags 2 Wishes as he prepares for his forever home.

Roman is great with other dogs, wonderful with kids, walks beautifully on a leash, is potty trained, has good recall, and is fully vetted and microchipped. He’s a gentle, well-mannered boy who has so much love to give and is ready for the life he’s always deserved.
