DESCRIPTION

There is not one bad thing that I can say about Tucker Teddy. He really does check off all of the boxes and he is absolutely adorable. Between the sweet angel baby eyes, the forever puppy face, and that adorable little bubble lip he does sometimes, this boy is dangerously cute LOL. I genuinely don’t know what we love more, his happy lovable personality or the fact that he looks like a real-life cartoon puppy come to life.

Watch his video and you’ll be hooked on him: https://youtu.be/4ZzpRYWDCn0?si=p5DKrbW4-MNa9XJZ

Tucker Teddy is a lab mix approximately 1 year old and currently weighs 58 lbs with big paws so he may even grow a little more. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age.

Tucker is honestly the perfect middle ground when it comes to affection. He’s not the type that’s going to follow you into the bathroom, crawl into your skin, or dramatically throw himself on top of you demanding attention every second of the day LOL. But he’s also not distant either. He has this really easy, natural way of showing affection where he’ll come lean into you for pets, curl up beside you on the couch, quietly follow you from room to room, and check in throughout the day just enough to make you feel loved and connected to him. He gives affection in a very genuine, calm way that feels comforting instead of overwhelming. Like he just wants to be part of your life and near his people without needing to be the center of attention 24/7.

Tucker got to spend time with a 5-year-old and honestly? He was such a sweet boy about it. He happily played with toys alongside him, was gentle and respectful, and had this really calm “just happy to be included” kind of energy the whole time. You can tell Tucker wants to be part of the fun, he just isn’t the type that’s going to thrive in total chaos and tiny tornado energy flying at him from every direction LOL. Fast loud movement could occasionally make him do a little double take, but overall he handled himself really nicely and continued settling in as things slowed back down. Tucker feels like the kind of dog that’s only going to continue blossoming and building confidence with more exposure, especially in a home with kind kiddos that understand not every dog wants to WWE wrestle.

With other dogs, Tucker has done great with every dog we have introduced him to so far. He’s been around dogs of all different sizes, personalities, and play styles, dogs that like to wrestle, dogs that prefer chase games, and even dogs that are more “let’s just hang out and vibe” types, and Tucker has been a happy friendly little guy with all of them. He really is such a social butterfly and already has really nice social skills with other dogs. He’ll happily jump into play when another dog invites him, but also settles down nicely when it’s time to relax.
When Tucker plays, he definitely still has that goofy puppy-style energy. It’s bouncy, silly, a little mouthy, rowdy in the fun way, and usually involves zooming around playing tag like he’s having the best day of his life LOL. His ideal doggy match would probably be a playful confident female that enjoys wrestling, chase games, and that same fun physical play style.

We do think Tucker would really thrive in a home with another dog though. In brand new environments you can see that innocent little baby side of him come out where he’s still learning about the world and figuring things out. He’s not shut down or anything dramatic, just a little “uhhhh what was THAT?” sometimes LOL. Like for example, the vacuum is currently very suspicious in Tucker’s opinion. Having another confident dog around would really help continue building his confidence, plus he genuinely loves having a playmate around too.

Tucker also met our house cat Biggie and met him appropriately and was very respectful around him. He did not chase Biggie, nor was he bothered by Biggie jumping or doing what cats do. Biggie also felt comfortable around him as well. We do not know if he has ever lived in a home before with a cat and this was our first time seeing him with a cat. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange for Tucker to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know!

Because Tucker is still gaining confidence and learning that the world is actually a pretty cool place, his ideal home is going to be one that gives him the space to settle in at his own pace while continuing to gently expose him to new experiences along the way. He’s not the type of dog that walks into a brand new environment acting like he owns the place LOL. He likes a minute to observe, process, and realize everything is safe before fully letting his goofy happy personality shine through.

Tucker would do best in a home with a backyard where he can zoom around, play, explore, and just enjoy being a young playful pup without the overwhelm of busy apartment life. Tucker already has SUCH a good foundation and feels like one of those dogs that’s going to blossom into the most incredible loyal little sidekick with the right family continuing to help him build confidence and trust along the way.

We are willing to test Tucker Teddy with anything you need in order to ensue it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
