Bear is an 8 week old Labradoodle mix with a big heart and an even bigger cuddle factor. True to his name, he is as cuddly as a teddy bear and loves being close to his people. He is playful, affectionate, and full of puppy charm.
Bear was diagnosed with puppy strangles, an autoimmune condition that can affect young puppies. He is currently receiving treatment and is doing very well. He is nearing the end of his treatment plan and is expected to make a full recovery without any long term issues. The rescue will continue to cover the expenses related to his treatment.
Because Bear is not yet fully vaccinated, he is available for pre adoption only at this time. If you are interested in meeting him, please submit an adoption application.
Like any young puppy, Bear will need continued training and guidance. He is not yet leash trained or crate trained, so his new family should be prepared to invest time and patience into helping him become a well mannered companion.
Because of his breed mix, Bear is expected to be a large dog when fully grown. A home with doodle experience is preferred. An active family or a home with a securely fenced yard would be ideal to help meet his exercise and enrichment needs.
If you rent, written proof from your landlord showing that large dogs are permitted will be required.
Bear is being fostered in Kissimmee.
If you would like to meet Bear and be considered for pre adoption, please submit an adoption application here: https://betterlifepets.com/adoption-application
*His neuter is included in his adoption fee and will be scheduled when he reaches the appropriate age.*
