Calypso - Husky Dog for Adoption in Wilmington, North Carolina

Calypso came to us pregnant and ready to deliver. She was undernourished and despite that, delivered 9 healthy puppies in our care. Calypso is an extremely sweet and kind pup and an excellent Mama to her puppies. She is heartworm positive and our rescue covers all expenses. She can go to someone as a foster or a foster to adopt (which will be quite awhile as she needs treated and spay still).
We don't know how she is with other pups as she can't be introduced yet BUT we don't anticipate any issues with her.
Available only in New Hanover County (NC) due to medical needs

The husky breed is renowned for its striking appearance, characterized by piercing eyes and a thick double coat. These medium sized, energetic dogs are known for their friendly and outgoing personalities, making them wonderful companions for active families. Originally bred for sledding and endurance in cold climates, huskies are intelligent and independent, often displaying a strong prey drive. Proper training and regular exercise are crucial to keep these playful and social animals happy and well adjusted.
