DESCRIPTION

Meet Maxwell! Maxwell is a 9 month old, 30 pound, male husky. Despite being a puppy, we're not sure he'll get any bigger. Making this husky boy, a rare medium husky. Maxwell has some typical husky behavior, he loves singing and getting lots of treats. Maxwell loves everybody he meets, humans, dog, and cats. This boy favorite hobby: giving kisses. Maxwell thinks the world would be a better place if everybody let him give them kisses. Maxwell thinks he's a lap dog and cannot be convinced otherwise. He is looking for a family that appreciates puppy antics and playtime.

Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second Chance
SPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.

ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months.

These medium sized, energetic dogs are known for their friendly and outgoing personalities, making them wonderful companions for active families. Originally bred for sledding and endurance in cold climates, huskies are intelligent and independent, often displaying a strong prey drive. Proper training and regular exercise are crucial to keep these playful and social animals happy and well adjusted.
