Phantasm, also known as Tazzy, is looking for her forever home.
Tazzy just turned 2 years old in May. She is a very high-energy, confident girl who loves attention, running, playing, and being close to her people.
She is not food aggressive exactly, but she is very protective of her food. She likes to graze throughout the day and may keep a bowl of food in her crate, picking at it when she wants. Because of this, if another dog comes near her crate while she is inside, she will grumble or bark to warn them away. She should be fed separately and given her own safe space for food.
Tazzy had to compete with bigger dogs when she was younger, and it is possible she did not always get enough food back then. She has definitely gotten her confidence back now, but she still needs a home that understands her food boundaries.
She is very sweet and cuddly. She prefers to be in your lap or curled up next to you watching TV. She is crate trained, but her manners still need some work. She can be a counter surfer and will need consistency with house rules.
A fenced yard would be ideal, or a home with plenty of property that is not close to busy main roads. She would do best with someone who can give her exercise, structure, and lots of love.
Tazzy is a sweet, affectionate girl who wants to be close to her people and finally have a safe, stable home of her own.
