Introducing Twix! Twix was sadly dumped at a local park, but thanks to a kind woman who found her and brought her to us, she’s now safe and getting the care she deserves.

When Twix arrived, she weighed only 48 pounds, and we suspect she had been on her own for some time and/or wasn’t being fed regularly. Despite everything she’s been through, we truly can’t understand why anyone would give up on her—Twix is an absolute sweetheart with so much love to give.

Twix is a classic husky: highly intelligent, independent, and full of energy. With the right amount of daily exercise and enrichment, she’s a dream companion and will thrive with someone who understands and appreciates the husky lifestyle.

Twix is still very new to our shelter, so we’re still learning about her comfort level with other dogs and with children (so far, it’s simply “unknown,” not a “no”). In true husky fashion, she does have a high prey drive, so Twix will need a home without cats.
