DESCRIPTION
Life would be a little sweeter with Cookie by your side.
Cookie is a beautiful 4-year-old Husky mix with soulful eyes and a gentle heart. She may be a little shy when you first meet her, but just like the best cookies, she's worth the wait. A few tasty treats (her favorite!) and a little patience are the perfect recipe for earning her trust.
She is incredibly food motivated, making her a great candidate for positive reinforcement training and bonding with her future family. Once she feels comfortable, her sweet personality begins to shine.
Cookie is currently heartworm positive. The good news is that heartworm disease is treatable, and we already have a treatment plan in place that we'll go over with her adopter. During treatment, she'll need to keep her activity calm and follow the plan closely, but with proper care, many dogs make a full recovery and go on to live happy, healthy lives.
If you're looking for a loyal companion who's as sweet as her name, Cookie is ready to become your girl! Come meet her, you just might find she's the missing ingredient in your family.

ABOUT: HUSKY DOG BREED
The husky breed is renowned for its striking appearance, characterized by piercing eyes and a thick double coat. These medium sized, energetic dogs are known for their friendly and outgoing personalities, making them wonderful companions for active families. Originally bred for sledding and endurance in cold climates, huskies are intelligent and independent, often displaying a strong prey drive. Proper training and regular exercise are crucial to keep these playful and social animals happy and well adjusted.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
