BOGEY - Husky Dog for Adoption in Ironwood, Michigan

This very handsome guy is BOGEY, a 5 year old male mixed breed that came to us so that he could find a more suitable home for his needs. While we arent positive on Bogeys breed, we believe he is a husky/pit mix and his personality definitely backs that up! Hes goofy, talkative, sweet and sometimes a bit of a stubborn boy. He would do best in a home with a confident owner who has dog experience and knowledge. Bogey is a really wonderful dog, he just needs someone who knows how to establish boundaries properly as well as give him the stimulation he needs so that he can truly be the bestest boy! He did live with kids in his previous home and does well with them. He seems to do better with dogs off shelter property so we feel that his dog interactions are selective on the environment. That being said, meet and greets are always required with any dogs in the home. We were told he is okay with cats but we have yet to test that out here.

The husky breed is renowned for its striking appearance, characterized by piercing eyes and a thick double coat. These medium sized, energetic dogs are known for their friendly and outgoing personalities, making them wonderful companions for active families. Originally bred for sledding and endurance in cold climates, huskies are intelligent and independent, often displaying a strong prey drive. Proper training and regular exercise are crucial to keep these playful and social animals happy and well adjusted.
