He was found wandering a shopping center parking lot, happily saying hello to every person he passed… just looking for someone to love and honestly, that tells you everything about him. Max is a total people pup who wants nothing more than to be by your side. He’ll follow you from room to room like your fluffy little shadow before plopping down next to you, perfectly content just being close. For a husky, he’s got a wonderfully calm and easygoing vibe… just as happy chilling at home as he is heading out for a walk or adventure. ✨
Max is friendly with everyone he meets (seriously, he’s never met a stranger!), does great with kids, and gets along well with most other dogs. He already knows commands like sit, paw, and stay, is potty trained, and walks nicely on leash, unless a squirrel or cat tries to ruff up his focus 🐿️😄. He truly thrives on companionship and being part of your everyday life. Whether you’re running errands, relaxing on the couch, or heading out for some fresh air, Max is happiest right there with you.
Because he loves his people so much, Max is still learning that being alone isn’t so scary, so he’d do best in a home where someone is around more often or willing to help him build that confidence over time. A friendly dog sibling would be a huge bonus for him, too! 🐶💕

*We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
*Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.
*Listed breed and age are based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.
*Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.
*All of our adopters are invited to join our “Alum Pupdates” Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!
