Rayla Ready for Adventure - Husky and Basenji Dog for Adoption in Friendswood, Texas

Rayla Ready for Adventure is the kind of dog who makes you want to grab the leash, load up the car, and see where the day goes. Petite, confident, affectionate, and smart, she has just the right amount of energy for someone who wants a dog that can enjoy an active day and still settle into everyday family life.

Watch Rayla Ready for Adventure’s video below to see her personality, training, and adventurous side in action:

Rayla has moderate energy and loves being included in whatever her people are doing. She is a great car rider, leash trained, and would be easy to picture joining her family for walks, outings, road trips, patio stops, and weekend adventures.

She has also completed the Petco training program and has an impressive set of skills already under her belt. Rayla knows sit, stay, and touch, and she can even tell the difference between a yellow frisbee and a blue frisbee. She is confident, engaged, and clearly enjoys using her brain.

Her Husky side adds a little extra personality too. Rayla can be vocal and is not afraid to let you know when she has something to say, giving her that fun, expressive quality Husky lovers know well.

Rayla is kid friendly, small-dog friendly, and does great in play groups. She is also crate trained, which gives her another strong foundation as she transitions into her future home.

As much as Rayla enjoys activity and adventure, one of her most special qualities is how deeply she wants to connect with her humans. She is affectionate and seeks out that close bond, making her the kind of dog who does not just want to live in the same house as her people—she wants to be part of their lives.

For someone looking for a petite companion who can learn, explore, ride along, play with friends, and then come home knowing exactly who her people are, Rayla Ready for Adventure has so much to offer.

Give her a destination, a seat in the car, and people to love, and Rayla will be ready to go.

Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!

We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
