DESCRIPTION

Hi, I’m River! I’m a beautiful brown Husky with a sweet and gentle personality. I’m a pretty independent dog who enjoys doing my own thing, but I also love being near the humans I bond with. I’m quiet for a Husky and not very vocal, and I’ve done great with medium and large dogs at the shelter. I’ve also spent time around children ages 6–9 and was wonderful with them I also have the potential to do well with cats! I wouldn't recommend me being around livestock since thats why my first home didn't work out.

All Arctic Rescue dogs are marked “yes” to “Needs Experienced Adopter”. This is because Northern Breeds typically have higher exercise, training, and care requirements than others. We recommend thoroughly researching the breed before pursuing adoption, if you do not have prior experience.
