Louie is a 51⁄2‐year‐old mixed‐breed dog weighing about 55 pounds, though he is currently underweight and should ideally be closer to 65 pounds. We are working with him every day to help him reach that healthy goal, but we're also hopeful he'll find a home before then -- he will absolutely thrive with consistent care and a calmer environment.

Louie was originally adopted from us as a puppy and was recently returned due to unfortunate circumstances outside of his control. He has been through quite a bit, and his stress is understandable, but even so, he has remained a sweet, well‐behaved, and gentle dog who clearly wants to be back in a home setting.

When he first arrived, Louie was a bit standoffish with other dogs, but he has settled in well. He currently enjoys his yard time alongside another large male dog, and the two get along wonderfully. He required deworming, but otherwise our veterinary team has cleared him as healthy and ready for adoption. His adoption fee is $300, and we are willing to be flexible for the right adopters.

Because we don't observe our animals in home settings, we aren't able to guarantee whether he is housebroken.

Upon intake, every animal receives:

Spay/neuter surgery

Microchip

All age‐appropriate vaccinations

Blood and fecal testing (with treatment if needed)

Flea, tick, and heartworm prevention

A complimentary wellness exam 7-10 days after adoption

Please note adopters must be at least 21 years old and live within an hour of our facility.
