Poppy - Batesville - Hound and Terrier Dog for Adoption in Horn Lake, Mississippi

Meet Poppy: Poppy is about a 13 week old (as of September 18, 2026) hound / terrier mix (best guess) that weighs about 16 pounds. This adorable girl was dumped off on a road in Batesville, MS with her buddy Hershey and they were picked up by Animal Control and brought to a shelter. The shelter contacted our rescue and we were able to add them in to our crew! Poppy is being fostered in the south and would love to catch the next freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families! Poppy is very sweet and playful! Poppy is friendly and loves to play with toys. Poppy loves people and gets along well other dogs. Poppy is currently staying in an outside kennel with her buddy Hershey during the day and they are brought in at night to a crate. As a puppy, who spends most of her time outdoors, Poppy will need patience as she works on her house training and learns to walk on a leash. We would love for Poppy to have a home with a fenced in yard for her to run and play freely as she grows. Poppy is up to date on her puppy shots and will need to be spayed when age appropriate.
