DESCRIPTION
Daffy is believed to be a hound mix sired by a large breed dad. He arrived with his siblings over 3 years ago, was adopted, but later picked up as a stray. Sadly, he was never reclaimed. Daffy was adopted again, but recently surrendered because his family did not have time to spend with him due to work. Daffy would love to be your loyal companion for a lifetime if you just give him the opportunity. He has a handsome face and beautiful coat and coloring to go along with his sweet personality. His most recent family described him as a loving dog who enjoys lounging around. He is gentle with children, even very young children. They also said he is treat motivated and loves car rides. Daffy has never been aggressive around other dogs and we believe he will do well in most households. Daffy is neutered, microchipped, current on core vaccines and has tested negative for heartworms. He is also housetrained! Come and meet him Daffy 11 to 4 Tuesday through Saturday. Let's make Daffy's third adoption the final one! He definitely deserves it.
ABOUT: HOUND DOG BREED
The hound dog breed is a diverse group known for their incredible hunting abilities and keen sense of smell. These dogs are esteemed for their athleticism, endurance, and loyalty, making them excellent companions for active individuals and families alike. With a rich history of assisting hunters in tracking and trailing game, hounds possess a strong prey drive and a distinctive bay when on the hunt. Hounds come in various sizes and coat types, each with its unique characteristics, but they all share a remarkable intelligence and a friendly disposition.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
