Meet Loki — a breathtakingly handsome dark grey and white Hound and Labrador Retriever mix with the most genuine, heartwarming smile you have ever seen on a dog. This beautiful 7-month-old boy arrived at the shelter on April 23rd when his family moved to an apartment that did not allow his breed, and through absolutely no fault of his own this incredible young dog now finds himself in Kennel #18, still smiling in every single photo, completely unaware that he is in need of a family to call his own.
At just 7 months old Loki already knows sit, stay, and down, takes treats with the most gentle and careful softness, and is house trained to boot — remarkable for a puppy who is still very much in the earliest chapter of his life. He is dog friendly, cat friendly, and wonderful with children, making him one of the most versatile and family ready dogs at the shelter. He is a little nervous right now as he adjusts to his new surroundings, but those who have spent time with him say he warms up quickly and reveals himself to be the sweet, smart, and deeply loving boy he truly is.
Loki is heartworm negative and up to date on all of his vaccines, and he will be neutered prior to adoption — healthy and completely ready for the loving home he deserves. At 7 months old he has his whole beautiful life ahead of him, and every single day of it deserves to be spent with a family who will never let him go.
That smile says everything — this boy was made to be loved, and he has so much love to give in return. Come meet Loki in Kennel #18 before that smile fades into confusion about why no one has come for him yet. He is ready for his person — and all he needs is for that person to come find him.
