Here's a Petfinder bio for Walter that acknowledges his story while focusing on the wonderful dog he is today:
**Meet Walter!**
Walter's story didn't start the way every dog deserves. At just 3 years old, he was abandoned when his owners drove away and left him behind. But despite being let down by the people he trusted, Walter remains a sweet, gentle Great Pyrenees who is ready to find a family that will never leave him again.
Since arriving in foster care, Walter has shown what an easy and lovable companion he is. On his very first night, he settled right into the house, found his bed, and made himself comfortable. He slept peacefully through the night, only waking up briefly to entertain himself with a toy.
Walter is learning that life indoors can be pretty nice, though like many Great Pyrenees, he still loves spending time outside where he can keep an eye on everything happening around him. He currently prefers the outdoors and won't always choose to come inside on his own, but he's adapting well to home life and has had no accidents in the house.
This handsome boy enjoys walks and is doing well on leash. He's also social and friendly with other dogs, happily playing along the fence line with neighboring pups and enjoying time with his foster sister, Lainey.
Walter has the loyal, thoughtful nature that Great Pyrenees lovers know and adore. He enjoys companionship, appreciates a comfortable place to relax, and is happiest when he feels safe and included.
After everything he's been through, Walter deserves a forever family that will give him the stability, love, and commitment he's always deserved. If you're looking for a gentle giant with a kind heart and plenty of love to give, Walter may be the perfect addition to your family.
