Jade has officially completed heartworm treatment and is ready to find her forever home! This beautiful 3 year old Great Pyrenees mix has come a long way since being rescued from life on the streets. Jade is a gentle, sweet girl who can be a little shy at first, but with some patience, a few treats, and a chin scratch or two, she quickly warms up and forms strong bonds with her people. Jade is fully house-trained and has wonderful manners in the home. She doesn't need a crate and is perfectly content relaxing on her bed and spending time with her family. She enjoys a calm environment and loves simply being near her people. Because of her past, Jade can be protective of her food and treats. Her foster family manages this easily by feeding her separately, and she does very well with that routine. She gets along great with other dogs but would also be happy as the only dog in the home. Jade has overcome a lot and is now ready for a family that will give her the stability, patience, and love she deserves. Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
