MEET PARKER - A SPECIAL DOG SEARCHING FOR THE RIGHT FOSTER OR ADOPTER
For over 2.5 years, Parker has experienced nothing but instability. He spent more than a year waiting in a rural shelter before we rescued him in January 2025. Since then, he's been shuffled between foster homes, kennels, and boarding, never having the opportunity to truly settle in. Through it all, Parker has never given up on people.
Parker is a three-year-old, 60-pound Pit Bull/Cattle Dog/Great Pyrenees mix with the heart and drive of a working dog. He is intelligent, loyal, eager to learn, and forms incredibly strong bonds with his people. He thrives when he has structure, purpose, and someone confident to guide him.
He has completed extensive professional training and has made tremendous progress, but Parker's biggest challenge is his environment. He becomes overwhelmed in busy neighborhoods filled with constant activity, dogs, children, traffic, and endless stimulation. He needs a calm, predictable setting where he can relax and succeed.
His ideal home would be:
- A rural property, farm, or quiet home with minimal outside activity
- An experienced, confident handler who understands working breeds
- Adults or a home with older teens only
- No cats
- Another dog may be possible, but only with the right match
Parker would make an incredible farm companion, working dog, hiking partner, or loyal best friend for someone who appreciates his intelligence and wants a dog that enjoys having a job to do.
This isn't a dog looking for the busiest household on the block. He's looking for peace, consistency, and someone willing to meet him where he is. In return, you'll gain a fiercely loyal companion who will always be by your side.
His adoption fee has been WAIVED thanks to a generous donor. Parker is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Apply to adopt at https://form.jotform.com/200883908893166.
