DESCRIPTION

Say hello to Trent - the big-pawed, goofy-grinned Great Pyrenees mix with a heart as huge as his head! Trent is still very much a giant puppy at heart: happy, silly, curious, wiggly, and convinced life is best when everyone is having fun. Trent came to rescue as an owner surrender with his brother after growing up with his previous owner since he was 10 weeks old. Through no fault of his own, he is now looking for a family ready to give a big young dog the love, structure, and guidance he needs while he grows into those paws - and that personality. Trent is cheerful, medium-energy, and happiest when he gets to be part of the action. He loves running in the yard, exploring on leash, proudly carrying toys around, and collecting praise like it is his full-time job. He is smart and eager to please, and he already knows his name, comes when called, keeps his area clean, and is comfortable in his crate. Like any oversized youngster, he is still polishing his leash manners, waiting politely, and remembering that not every interesting object needs to be picked up and paraded around. Trent is friendly with people and very excited to be loved on, though he does not always realize he is built like a small polar bear, so older children with big-dog experience would be the best match. He likes other dogs and seems to assume everyone is a future friend. He could be happy as an only dog, especially with chances to keep his social skills fresh through playdates, daycare, or dog-friendly outings. He has met cats and is learning that a polite hello beats a full detective-level sniff inspection. He is not a big barker, but he will happily offer an announcement when he thinks the moment calls for it. Trent's ideal home can laugh at puppy nonsense, guide him with patience and consistency, and give him a 5-foot securely fenced yard where he can safely stretch those long legs. With continued training, gentle boundaries, and plenty of praise, Trent has all the makings of a loyal, hilarious, and affectionate companion who will keep his family smiling.
