Howdy, partner! Allow us to introduce Cowboy.
This gentle giant is a one-year-old Great Pyrenees mix tipping the scales at 70 lbs., though don't let that fool you - this trail hand is underweight and expected to fill out to a sturdy 110-120 lbs. once he gets some good grub in him.
Cowboy is a true gentleman. Docile, sweet, and easygoing, he's basically a giant, fur-covered bean bag - the kind of dog who'll let you do just about anything and won't complain one bit. He's got that slow, unhurried cowboy spirit: low energy, unbothered, and perfectly content to spend his days loafing around the ranch. Toys? Not his style. But water? Now that's his kind of watering hole. He traded in muddy creek beds for a kiddie pool on the patio, and he hasn't looked back since.
When it comes to trail manners, Cowboy checks every box - crate trained, leash trained, house trained, and good with dogs and cats alike. He's truly the easiest ranch hand you could ever add. His needs are simple: good company, a soft place to land, and the occasional head scratch, which he'll politely request by nuzzling up and draping his entire self across your lap - because apparently he hasn't been told he's not a lapdog.
This big fella lives by one cowboy code: stay loyal and stay close. He loves being near his people, and if you wander from room to room, he'll mosey on right behind you - and when he finally plops down, you will hear it. Every single time. It never gets old.
Sadly, Cowboy was surrendered by his previous owners when they could no longer afford to care for him. As an owner surrender at an overcrowded shelter, he was given a final date - but we lassoed him up for his freedom ride and gave this good boy the second chance he so rightfully deserves.
All Cowboy needs now is someone to ride off into the sunset with. Could that be you?
