DESCRIPTION
Fontina is a Great Pyrenees mix puppy (estimated DOB 3/15/26) with a fun, playful personality and an independent streak. She enjoys romping around with toys and her siblings, but she’s also happy entertaining herself when playtime winds down.
Like her littermates, Fontina is currently in the puppy chewing phase, so she’ll need plenty of appropriate toys and guidance as she learns. She’s also very enthusiastic about snacks and meals — if food is available, Fontina is ready to volunteer as taste tester. As she grows, Fontina will need continued support with house training, crate training, and basic obedience to help her become the best companion possible.
Her minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.
She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.

ABOUT: GREAT PYRENEES DOG BREED
The Great Pyrenees is a majestic and noble breed known for its gentle demeanor and steadfast loyalty. Originating from the Pyrenees Mountains, these large and dignified dogs are renowned for their protective instincts and ability to work as livestock guardians. With their stunning white coats and imposing stature, Great Pyrenees exude an air of regal confidence while also possessing a gentle and affectionate nature towards their families. Their calm and composed demeanor coupled with their innate guardian instincts make them excellent companions for those seeking a devoted and majestic canine friend.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
