Kela is a sweet, easy-going girl who is just looking for the perfect spot to curl up and relax. This lovable couch potato is a gentle giant who enjoys the simpler things in life, like naps, belly rubs, and the occasional treat. While she might not win any marathons, she's the ideal companion for someone who loves quiet moments and cozy days in.

Kela came into the rescue massively overweight at 146 lbs. She has been on a weight loss journey since then. She has dropped down to about 95 lbs while with us! Kela is calm, affectionate, and has a heart of gold. She’s a big fan of snuggling on the couch and basking in the love of her people. But don’t let her relaxed nature fool you—Kela is also up for adventures! She loves going on car rides, walking around the neighborhood, and having her own little outdoor adventures. She especially loves to be pet by the neighbors when she is out for her daily walks. Kela expects her walks after dinner and will follow you around until she gets them. Whether it’s a walk or just rolling down the windows for a breeze on a car ride, she’s always ready to share the experience with you. She is a dog that loves to be around her people. Kela does have a sassy side with a big princess personality mixed in there with a very lazy girl.

What Kela Needs:

- A home where she can be the only dog or live with a calm, quiet dog. Kela thrives in peaceful environments and prefers a laid-back lifestyle. She is currently fostered in a home with many other dogs but prefers the calm, older ones. She does warm up to new dogs with calm personalities, and she surprisingly LOVES puppies! She is the puppy whisperer!

- A family or individual who loves to spend time with her, whether it’s taking her on car rides, going for walks, or simply relaxing together.
